M. Sakıp ERTURHAN

Prof. Dr. M. Sakıp Erturhan was born in Gaziantep in 1972. He graduated from Gaziantep High School in 1989 and Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1996. After completing his specialisation in Urology at Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Urology in 2003, he received the title of ‘Associate Professor’ in 2008 and ‘Professor’ in 2014 in the same clinic. He served as the head of the department between 2018-2021.
During his academic education, he worked as a guest lecturer on Laparoscopic Urological Surgeries at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2007 and on robotic urological surgeries at Siloah St.Trudbert Hospital in Pforzheim, Germany in 2013.
Prof. Dr. Erturhan, who served as the President of the Southeastern Urologists Association between 2014-2019, was a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Urology Association between 2016-2020 and 2022-2023, and has been the Urooncology Coordinator of the Turkish Urology Academy of the Turkish Urology Association since 2016. He is also a member of Eurasian Urooncology Association and Endourology Association.
He has 93 foreign articles published in foreign journals registered in the Web of Science database, 51 papers presented in international congresses and symposiums abroad, 46 publications published in national scientific journals and 82 papers presented in national congresses, and there are more than 1000 citations to these publications. He is also the author of 13 book chapters and ‘Urooncology Handbook’ and ‘Urooncology Handbook’.
